Super Bowl LVIII may be the Kansas City Chiefs‘ fourth Super Bowl in the last six years, but it is Taylor Swift‘s first. The superstar singer has been dating the Chiefs’ All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce since the beginning of the season. She has attended multiple Chiefs games this season, especially their playoff games. She was in attendance during the Chiefs’ all three playoff wins this season.

Swift will be expected to be in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl on February 11. The ‘Love Story’ singer has been instrumental in the rise of the NFL‘s popularity, but there were speculations about Kelce being distracted by his high-profile girlfriend before the start of the postseason. The superstar TE finished the regular season under 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since the 2015 season.

There was a feeling among many NFL fans that the drop in Kelce’s production was mainly due to his relationship with Swift. However, those speculations were put to rest by the tight end as he led the Chiefs to huge playoff wins against the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens en route to another Super Bowl appearance. The Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid praised Kelce for his handling of the entire situation. He also surprised his tight end by revealing his ties with the Swift family.

Reid said on Tom Brady‘s Let’s Go! podcast:

Listen, she's a good girl and I'm happy for Trav, and there has been no distraction that way at all. Trav's handled it right, she's handled it right, and we just move forward, so it hasn't been a problem at all.

He further continued:

I knew her before, from Philadelphia. That was the last thing Trav wanted to hear, that I knew her before him. She told him, 'I know your coach.' And he went, 'No! Come on.'

The Chiefs got past the Ravens in the AFC Championship game and will look to defend their Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. If they win it, they will become the first team since the 2003-04 New England Patriots to successfully defend their title.

When the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 on Sunday, January 28, they guaranteed their spot in Super Bowl LVIII. Taylor Swift hurried to the pitch to congratulate Travis Kelce after the victory.

A video of Kelce and the Grammy winner kissing and hugging at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore was posted to X, formerly known as Twitter. Kelce can be heard asking the Grammy winner, “What’s up, sweetie?” during their conversation. The Eras Tour singer replied:

That was insane. I can’t believe it.

The Chiefs will now take on the NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. It will be Kelce and the Chiefs’ fourth Super Bowl appearance in the last six years.
