The NFL Combine is heating up in Indianapolis, after the Georgia prospect, Nolan Smith became the biggest winner of the day 1 NFL Combine. The quarterbacks have taken the center stage on Day 3. Especially the Florida Gators QB Anthony Richardson stood out with his remarkable athletic abilities.
In fact, the 21-year-old quarterback made a huge statement by breaking multiple QB records at the NFL Combine. The Florida product led his position in almost every category, including vertical and broad jump. Richardson’s unfathomable athleticism helped him to boost his draft stocks with just a few weeks left for the much anticipated NFL Draft.
In the Combine, Richardson led his position in the vertical jump at 40.5 inches, a record for a QB since at least 2003. And then, he sprinted the 40-yard dash at 4.44 seconds, which is also the top speed among QBs. For comparison, the dual-threat signal-caller and 2-time Super Bowl Champion Patrick Mahomes took 4.80 seconds to finish the 40-yard dash.
And finally, the 6-foot-4 and 244-pound prospect finished the Combine on a high note with his 10-foot-9 inch broad jump, which again also led the record for QBs. Furthermore, the young talent also dropped some dimes while showing off his cannon arm during the Combine. In brief, it’s fair Anthony Richardson helped himself at the Combine, which might lead him to get drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Will Anthony Richardson’s athleticism transcend to the next level?

With his tremendous showing at the NFL Combine, the University of Florida QB has booked his ticket to the NFL. In fact, there’s every chance the QB might get drafted on the first day of the Draft itself.
Now the question is, will the QB be able to have success on the big stage? The QB is as raw as they come since he has only played in 22 games for the Florida Gators in three years. During that time, the QB has an abysmal 54.7% completion percentage and has thrown 15 interceptions.
The accuracy is certainly not there, and he is certainly a hit-or-miss prospect, but the Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen had a similar problem when he was coming out of Wyoming but has turned out to be Pro Bowl QB. So, Richardson might be a project but it could work out well in the long-term run for whoever picks him.
The team that drafts the 21-year-old QB might have to wait multiple years until the QB is polished to play on the big stage. But when he gets ready, he will be a big problem for the other teams.
