Tom Brady is certainly not going to turn up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season unless something dramatic transpires over the next couple of months. The 45-year-old announced his retirement from the NFL in February, after finishing the 2022/23 season with the Buccaneers.

In his announcement, Tom Brady specified that this time he was done for good, in a bid to end all speculations of him making a comeback for the second time. However, speculations have continued about the 7x Super Bowl winner’s chances of coming back and now Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. has simply added more steam to those rumors.

“I’m sure we’re still reaching out to him trying to see if he’s trying to come back to the team,” Winfield said about the Buccaneers pursuing Tom Brady. “Hey, it could happen. Anything’s possible.” Sherman, the former Buccaneers cornerback agreed with Wnfield’s assessment saying, “Look, I don’t put nothing past [Brady]. This is a crazy world and he a crazy guy. …” Winfield replied, “It’s up in the air, man.”

Tom Brady however, has done his level best to play down talks of him potentially making a return whenever asked about it in the past few months. “I’m certain I’m not playing again,” Brady said earlier this year. “I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to continue to profess that because I’ve already told people that lots of times.”

The quarterback has prioritised family time and has taken numerous vacations and trips with his two sons and daughter during the course of his retired life. This is also in accordance with the reason he had cited while announcing his retirement for the first time in 2022, when he was still married to Brazilian model, Gisele Bundchen.

Tom Brady has already signed a record-breaking 10-year contract with Fox Sports worth a whopping $375 million last season, which was all set to kick in after his retirement. However, he won’t be joining the NFL broadcasts before 2024 which would give some sort of hope to the Buccaneers’ management if at all they are still looking trying to bring back the GOAT.
