“I do what I want, my job is to live”: Antonio Brown takes shots at the NFL and makes it clear he isn’t returning

Antonio Brown is back in the news, this time not because of dancing his way out of the NFL but with respect to his future plans in life. The wideout is now involved in multiple business avenues. His primary profession is no longer an athlete, he has now transitioned into being a rapper, a businessman, and has even hinted at coaching the Zappers, a team in the fan-controlled football league. He attended one of the games and spoke about his life now and also promoted his newest album, 420 Paradigm.
Brown has had multiple chances to play in the NFL following his controversial exit from the Steelers. He went to the Las Vegas Raiders where he forfeited $30 million just because he could not keep his words in check for a day, which led him to join Brady on the Patriots. The Patriot way is one of most discipline and unfortunately for Brown, that is one thing he lacks the most. He lashed out at the team’s owner Robert Kraft and was released from the team. Lucky for him, Tom Brady signed with the Buccaneers a year later and got AB back into the league. If not for this season, Brown would not have an NFL ring. In his last year in the league, he danced his way out in the game against the Jets because he was not getting enough balls thrown his way.
“Don’t play yourself looking at me to play”: Antonio Brown makes it clear that he has no intention to return to the NFL

Antonio Brown coached the Zappers in their game, he believes that the Fan-controlled football league is an amazing platform and provides massive opportunities for players to showcase their talents. “I think it’s a good environment, there’s a lot of great people in the building, it’s a good business, it’s getting 2 million views a week, and it’s giving players an opportunity. Players need more opportunities,” Brown expressed. He also believes that players from this league have a shot to make it to the NFL.
“Have a goal first, know what you want, football is not forever, do the right things, and take care of your body. Do what makes you happy.” Brown is clearly doing what makes him happy. Speaking about his current life, AB puts it as simple as he can, “I do what I want.” He believes that during his 12-year stint in the NFL, he has done everything he possibly could and is a legend now.
“Obviously, I’m a 12-year veteran and one of the best players of all time. My job is to live, life is about living, and we are all going to die. I’m a rapper, I do shows, I’m an independent businessman, BUSINESS BOOMING!,” Brown says. Speaking on his album, 420 Paradigm, “It’s got over a million views,” he says, he is prioritizing family now as well, “Summertime, kids are out of school, I’m just being a good father and doing what I can.”
AB speaks about his future plans and if football really matters to him now, “Obviously, you know, we live the game, but you cannot play forever. I think I’m a great player that’s done everything in the game.” He makes it clear that we should not expect a return this season, “Nah, Don’t play yourself looking at me to play.” That should quash any rumors of him returning to any team this season. Brown had earlier said that he wanted to retire a Pittsburgh Steeler but he also clarified he does not want to play for them, just retire. Have we seen the last of Antonio Brown in the NFL? We very well might have.
