Things are not in the right place for Bill Belichick as his team, the New England Patriots, had a horrible start to their 2023 campaign. They are down by a 1-4 record. With a single win and four losses, it seems difficult for them to reach the playoffs.

In this scenario, Asante Samuel, the former All-Pro, advocated for a possible return of the legendary quarterback Tom Brady to the team. Everyone, aware of the NFL scenario, knows that Brady is enjoying his retirement and has no intention of returning to the league. However, Samuel believes he is the only one who can turn things around.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Samuel Said, “This terrible team that everybody sees is a terrible team. Brady can come today and win a Super Bowl for the New England Patriots. Because that’s Tom Brady.”

Many questions are coming from all corners regarding Belichick’s coaching ability. Some analysts have already pointed their fingers at one of the legendary minds in the NFL. The latest to join the bandwagon is Samuel as he said, “I don’t understand why is it such a big drop off when one man leaves the 53-man roster — why is it such a big drop off and you can’t replace it but you’re supposed to be a great coach?” 

“I compare this team to the 2015 Super Bowl champions. I see the same exact team — it’s only minus Tom Brady is the difference. And I can see Tom coming and leading this to the Super Bowl,” he further added.

Bill Belichick is unable to provide a solution for his team 

One of the greatest attacking minds and arguably the best coach in the NFL is failing to provide a solution to his team when they are down by 1-4. They had a shambolic defeat in the hands of the New Orleans Saints by a margin of 34-0. Belichick is still hopeful that his team can turn things around and that it is possible to have a fresh start. However, at this stage in the league, analysts are unsure about the outcome.

Quarterback Mac Jones is struggling, evidently. He is not in his best form. Jones is limping and people are blaming it on Belichick, as he is failing to make use of the abilities that Jones has. In this case, the playoffs seem difficult.

Nonetheless, the veteran coach is hopeful as he has done things in the past as well. The Patriots will next face the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend.
