Arthur Blank, the owner of the Atlanta Falcons, donated $750,000 through an initial emergency grant to the Barzilai Medical Center, Soroka Medical Center, and United Hatzalah. This was in reference to treat the victims of the Israel-Palestine war which broke out a week back.
“The unimaginable, distressing terrorist attacks on Israel that have resulted in death, injury and trauma for scores of people over the past few days are an attack on all of humanity, and there is no place in this world for the horrific violence we have witnessed,” Blank said in a press release on Tuesday.
“We grieve for the innocent Israeli and Palestinian souls who have lost their lives, the families who have experienced incomprehensible pain, and send our strongest prayers to the thousands who continue to fight for their safety,” he further added.
The veteran also advocated for world peace, as he said, “We must condemn acts of violence and stand for peace, as one life lost is one to many. May God protect our brothers and sisters across the world impacted by this heart-wrenching tragedy.”
Blank is known for his charitable work across borders. Since its inception in 1995, Blank’s organization has donated more than $1 billion to charitable causes. The veteran owner and businessman also made a plea to others to come and contribute to the noble cause so that the war victims can get some help, as the situation is getting worse day by day. Nearly 1600 people have died as war victims.
In retaliation to the attack, Israel has stopped sending essential goods and fuel to Gaza. They have also cut electricity of the Gaza area. As things stand now, the war seems to be more fierce in the coming time and there are high chances for more war casualties.

Atlanta Falcons need to be more consistent on the field
On the sports side of the things, despite a good start to the season, the Falcons failed to keep the momentum as they had lost two consecutive games. In their season opener against the Carolina Panthers, the Falcons won 24-10. It was overall a good performance for them, followed by a close win against Jordan Love led Green Bay Packers (25-24).
However, they quickly lost the momentum as they lost back-to-back games and went down by a margin of 1-3. Nonetheless, their latest outing against the Houston Texans was good as they registered a victory in a close encounter by a margin of 21-19.
The Falcons need to be more consistent on the field and put in more effort if they have to qualify for the playoffs. Quarterback Desmond Ridder covered 1,073 passing yards with four touchdowns. However, he has also been intercepted thrice in five games.
