Does Austin Johnson play Fortnite? Even if he does not, the Los Angeles Chargers defensive end knows a thing or two when it comes to hitting a few other celebratory dances from the famous online video game.

With just over seven minutes to go at SoFi Stadium on Saturday night, the Chargers were trailing the Buffalo Bills 21-19. On 1st and 10, Bills quarterback Josh Allen took a quick snap and tossed the ball toward James Cook. The running back then charged right into the Bolts defensive line, looking to gain some yards.

Cook did not gain much, and on top of that, he lost the ball. The Chargers defenders jumped on him and stopped his run as the ball spilled out of his hands. After the dust settled and the refs pushed aside the pile of players over Bills #4, they saw the ball had switched hands to an LA player. It was another Bills turnover.

However, the moment was stolen by the celebratory dance from Austin Johnson. He hit the infamous ‘Take the L’ dance with a small tweak to give it his touch.

Social media had hilarious reactions to Austin Johnson’s Fortnite celebration

Football players and flashy celebrations go hand in hand. Whether it’s after scoring a touchdown or completing a sack, fans get to witness the funny bones of their favorite stars. The most popular of them will undeniably be Tyreek Hill, with his whacky flips and involving half of his Miami Dolphins teammates in creating a rowing canoe.

But the most popular celebration is the ‘giddy’ from Fortnite. Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase are often seen breaking into the iconic dance after scoring a touchdown. Austin Johnson just added his name to the list, and social media is loving it.

But not everyone enjoyed the flamboyant dance.

As a few of the commenters pointed out, the Chargers let in more than 60 points last week against the Los Vegas Raiders, so Johnson’s dance is out of place. Despite the blowout loss, the 29-year-old had eight tackles, including five solo. The head coach-less Chargers are out of the playoffs as it was their 10th loss of the season.
