“Damage to the drumstick,” Twitter Reacts to Baltimore Ravens Mascot Poe being carted off the field following brutal injury
Poe the Raven receiving medical care and being carted off the Field.
Contact sports like football often have the tendency to injure players. Some tackles are just too hard. The mascot of the Baltimore Ravens, Poe the Raven, had an ill-fated encounter with a tackle that has left him with an injury and may have possibly put him out of commission for the entirety of the season.
The Ravens allowed two young football teams to play in front of the fans during halftime. Poe, the mascot for the Ravens, also took part, although things didn’t exactly go as planned. A young person in full costume tackled Poe, but the mascot suffered a left knee injury and had to be helped off the field.
The Baltimore Ravens keep the hopes of fans up by putting out a comedic tweet
Poe’s recovery time is not yet known, but based on the injury’s appearance, it may take some time. With the season starting in only a couple of weeks, the Ravens need to start looking for a new mascot really quickly. The new mascot will have big shoes to fill(quite literally) as Poe is one of the most loved aspects of Baltimore Ravens football.
The Ravens Twitter account put a hilarious tweet in which they said “Poe took some damage to his drumstick”.
The Fan base also had some hilarious reactions to the entire debacle.
Let’s hope that Poe has a swift recovery before week 2 in which the Ravens face the Miami Dolphins in their first home game.
