Ever since Dave Portnoy announced that he was returning to Barstool Sports and buying the company back, the network has witnessed overwhelming changes. There has been a cultural shift in the workplace with Portnoy now ensuring everyone is taking their job seriously while firing the members who fail to contribute consistently. He has not been hesitant to take big calls and his latest decision to cancel Barstool Radio is a testament to this fact.

Dave Portnoy announced this via a straightforward tweet stating:

Attention everyone. Barstool radio is cancelled until further notice.

The media personality had enough of the hosts Kelly Keegs and Francis Ellis talking about the relationship of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift almost all the time on air. He explained via Barstool Rundown that he “had no choice but to cancel” the show.

If you know Dave Portnoy, you know that the man has no filter. He went a step ahead and called out the hosts by describing them to be the “most tone deaf, brain dead, idiotic…Francis and Kelly are the wrong people. Go back to blogging.” This comes a week after Kelly Keegs and Ohio’s Tate, went at one another on social media. Tate called Keegs out for not being present in the office on Fridays and questioned her work ethic.

Keegs replied to Portnoy’s announcement by stating that she wanted to turn Barstool Radio “into something fun and positive” but the fact is that the culture at Barstool Sports is one where “everyone else just wants to stay at each other’s throats nonstop.” To this, Dave Portnoy had his own response.

He called Keegs’ tweet as being one of the “top 3 most delusional tweets” that he has ever seen in his life. Addressing Keegs’ absence from the office on Fridays, Portnoy pleaded ignorance as he did not know “she doesn’t show up on Fridays.” He further stated that the current hosts were not cut out for the job and that they would never be back on it.

As of now, Dave Portnoy will be taking over the show along with Kirk Minihane and Ryan Whitney, which he conveyed via X. He further promised consistency by stating that all of them have committed to 42 weeks a year or until they leave the company.
