Bart Scott is an NFL analyst who features on Get Up by ESPN. Scott is currently viral on social media for a couple of his controversial takes that are hard to accept.
Scott is under massive scrutiny for calling Vikings QB Kirk Cousins MVP material. Scott asked everyone on the panel to give respect to Cousins, as he is currently playing at an MVP level.
“[He] is playing, I believe at an MVP-caliber level, and we have to start giving him credit and stop saying he’s solar-powered.” Scott stated on Get Up.
Cousins is having a great season with the Vikings as they are currently 8-2 in the NFL and look set to challenge for the division title, though calling him MVP level this early in the season is a bit unfair. The Vikings QB was also horrendous against the Cowboys on SNF as he couldn’t throw for a single touchdown throughout the game, proving the theory that Cousins is indeed ‘solar powered’
This is not the only controversial take that got Scott in trouble. The ESPN analyst also stated that the Chiefs won’t make it to the playoffs this year.
According to Scott, the Chiefs have an easy division and found it pretty comfortable to dominate there, but they will succumb to the pressure in the ultimate playoff games. The Chiefs are currently on the way to becoming division champions and will compete for the AFC championship yet again.

Bart Scott quickly went viral on NFL Twitter as people took turns to criticize and ridicule the NFL analyst. Both of his controversial takes inspired strong reactions from social media and there were few to none who believed in his takes. Even the analysts on the same panel as him were shocked after hearing such horrendous takes.
Kirk Cousins isn’t even in the top 5 QBs this season as a Twitter user pointed out, his rating has also dropped from last year. So calling him MVP material is just outlandish.
It is also possible that Scott is giving these controversial takes so that he can be viral on social media like Stephen A. Smith, who is justly known for his outlandish takes.
