As it stands, the Bengals might not make the playoff this season.

Thursday’s game featuring the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals resulted in a Ravens victory. The Bengals had a terrible fall, not just in standings but also in injuries to their starting quarterback Joe Burrow. At the moment, their playoff hope remains jeopardized due to Burrow’s injury. However, head coach Zac Taylor is highly positive about still making a comeback.
The Bengals’ divisional rivals, Ravens (8-3) are now leading the AFC North and are 2 1/2 games ahead of them. After the game, Taylor addressed the media with a hopeful attitude. This is what he said:
We're not going to let one game define us. This was certainly a big game for us, our guys were excited about on the road. It didn't go our way and in a long season like this what you gotta do is be able to regroup and we know what kind of guys we got in that locker room. We've done this kind of situation before. We got to rally here.Zac Taylor via post-game press conference

Both the teams suffered from health concerns in the game, which even overshadowed the mega divisional game that it was. The Ravens look set to win the divisional title for the first time since 2019. On the other hand, the Bengals will need to win the rest of the games to make the playoffs.
Though understanding the point of reference of the Bengals’ head coach in this matter seemed tough, it wasn’t long ago that the team was leading the league as one of the best teams. But with Burrow’s wrist injury, playoffs might seem a big ask for them.
Fan reaction to Zac Taylor’s statement post-Bengals loss
Fans are certainly not happy with the way Bengals head coach Taylor is handling this right now. The Bengals are ranked at the bottom of the AFC North at 5-5. Based on the Bengals’ performance this season, fans are becoming impatient as they want to implement what HC Taylor has said after every loss.
Bengals fans started trolling Taylor ever since his statement saying this team could come back more strongly. Taylor also emphasized his belief in his players to back his statement in the coming games.

Check out some of the fan reactions:
One fan wrote, “We don’t wanna hear this s**t!” while another wrote, “He’s gonna keep saying “we got a long season” at week 15 lol.” Fans demanded action instead of words, as they claimed they say each time to not actually implement them. Some are even calling the Bengals’ head coach “lazy” and “no depth” while blaming the offense for being “so bland.” Only time will tell if the Bengals could mount a comeback.
