The match between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams is catching headlines as Joe Burrow, the star quarterback, did something amazing. Despite being injured in the previous match, the QB came back vs. the Rams and played the entire game. He took this decision to help the team as they were already down by 0-2.

His attitude attracted appreciation from his teammates. One of them was the wide receiver, Ja’ Marr Chase, who suggested Burrow rest in the game. But Burrow did not hear the suggestion and played the game as an ideal teammate.

I told him again after the game, you got bleeps. I don’t want you to play. That just shows Joe is hardheaded, but he’s a football player, man. You can’t knock him being tough like that. There aren’t too many quarterbacks tough like that,” Chase said, via Geoff Hobson of the team’s website.

He just proved it tonight playing hurt, too. He’s Joe Cool, Joe Brrr. Whatever you want. He’s that guy,” he further added.

After two disasters in two weeks, the Bengals came back strongly against the Rams as they won the game by 19-16. It was a low-scoring encounter. Burrow was not at his best, yet he provided when it was much needed.

The QB covered 259 yards and completed 28 of his 46 passes. However, he failed to have a touchdown and was also intercepted once. It was not one of his best performances. But it helped the team to grab victory.

Injury is a concern for Burrow and the Bengals

Despite returning to the winning road, the Bengals and Burrow will suffer from injury concerns. Burrow sustained an injury in the team’s training session during the offseason. He failed to play in any of the team’s preseason matches. The QB was also absent from training. He directly played the season opener for the Bengals and hardly created any impact. The lack of training caused trouble for him.

In the second game, Burrow re-aggravated the calf injury. It’s an open secret that he is still not 100% fit and if this continues in the coming time then his playing time will become unsure. Also, his form will collapse.

There is a long way to go for the Bengals this season. They are still 1-2 down and Burrow is their primary weapon. It is to be seen whether Burrow has a stable 2023 campaign, or the Bengals return to the hellhole of their franchise’s history.
