With just a week left to go until Super Bowl LVIII, oddsmakers are having a field time as fans are placing bets on their favorites in order to predict the outcome of the game. It will be a competitive matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, but there is one thing different about this year’s Super Bowl. More than the outcome of the game, fans are curious about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

There is a possibility that the tight end may pop ‘the question’ to his girlfriend if the Chiefs win their third Super Bowl in the Patrick Mahomes era. Currently, the odds of Kelce proposing to Swift are very slim. The oddsmakers have +1120 odds of the event happening while -3500 odds of the event not happening. That is over 90% of bettors believing Kelce will leave Las Vegas with just one ring on the 11th of February and that is if the Chiefs win the game.

Well, could the moment be any more perfect for the proposal to happen? It would be a fairytale moment for a pop icon such as Taylor Swift who has come up with hits such as Love Story amongst other romantic songs describing her ideal love. If it does happen, then it would be the best year of both their lives and at this point, Swifties would love to see their beloved star tie the knot after all these years.

While it is amazing to consider the possibility of this happening, it probably will not. The reason is because there is no guarantee that the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl, the game could go either way. Kelce’s proposal would have to be contingent on his team winning the game. But even if that happens, and the tight end goes ahead with this, he would be stealing the limelight from his team.

The Super Bowl is a celebration of over a year of hard work of the team. If Kelce proposes, it would mean he is hogging the limelight of his team’s win. As a good teammate, it would not be the right thing to do.
