Bijan Robinson is ranked the No.1 running back prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft by many experts. The Texas Longhorns running back is projected to be selected in the first round of the draft.

Just days ahead of the NFL Draft, Bijan Robinson made an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show to talk about his draft process. During the episode, the talented running back revealed the number of in-person official visits he has had during the process.

“I’ve been to 2 teams, for official visits to their cities, only 2 teams,” revealed Robinson. “The Eagles and the Buccaneers are the 2 teams I met with, but I’ve been talking to like a lot of teams on Zoom and stuff but yeah those are 2 places I’ve been.”

Both the teams that hosted Bijan Robinson are in dire need of a running back. The Philadelphia Eagles just moved on from their star running back Miles Sanders, who was responsible for 1000-plus rushing yards in the 2022 season. They would like to rope in talent like Robinson to replace that kind of production.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved on from RB Leonard Fournette, who played a crucial role in Tampa Bay for the last 3 seasons. The Bucs have added some running backs in the off-season but it’s tough to overlook a talent like Bijan Robinson.

Bijan Robinson is one of the best running back prospects to come out of college football in recent years. The Texas running back has received a lot of interest from multiple teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Eagles, and Buccaneers.

Bijan Robinson’s parents are LaMore and Lamont Sauls. He was more than a star during his days at the University of Texas. He had a remarkable 3-year career with the Longhorns football team, but his senior season in 2022 is one for ages.

The 6-foot running back exploded in 2022, accumulating 1894 scrimmage yards and 20 total touchdowns. He is physical, agile, and has explosive speed. As he mentioned to the Eagles GM Howie Roseman, he’s not just a running back, but a playmaker.

Back in the day, teams would be hesitant to draft an RB in the first round. Although in recent years, teams have enjoyed success while drafting an RB with early picks like Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley, and Ezekiel Elliott. So, Robinson will certainly get drafted on Day 1 and it might not be surprising if the Eagles traded down a bit and drafted him with their first-round pick.
