Remember when Taylor Swift and Swifties grooved in the rain for hours at the Gillette Stadium back in May 2023? That was one solid statement of the star’s resolve and grit when she performed four hours non-stop in the blistering rain. Now Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has some really flattering words for Taylor Swift’s toughness which suggest he might as well be a Swiftie. 

The Gillette Stadium, which serves as the home ground of the New England Patriots, hosted Swift’s sensational concerts this summer. When asked whether the Patriot’s head coach got to attend any of the concerts during ‘The Greg Hill Show’, Bill Belichick answered in the affirmative.

I saw a little bit of Taylor [Swift],” he mused, recalling the summer concerts of the superstar at his team’s home ground. When speaking of Swift’s four-hour-long performance in the rain, Bill had some heartfelt words of admiration reserved for her.

That was pretty impressive,” Belichick appreciated ”The Blank Space’ singer. “She’s tough, man. She stood out there and played right through.” Surely the pop sensation earned her fair share of praise from fans and critics from all over the world, and Bill Belichick is the latest addition.

So is Bill Belichick a ‘Swiftie’?

With his comments on Taylor Swift and a nod of appreciation for her resilience, it is natural that the question whether Bill Belichick is indeed but a Swiftie. When approached with the exact query during ‘The Greg Hill Show’, Belichick was uncertain. 

Officially? I don’t know about that,” the Patriots’ head coach didn’t quite place an answer. But he sure did refer to one of the star’s songs in the course of the show.

Look, I’m definitely on the, ‘you’ve got to calm down’. That’s pretty good. You’ve got to calm down. There’s a lot of times when that’s very appropriate,” Bill said, referring to Taylor Swift’s song ‘You Need to Calm Down’ released in 2019.

It is safe to say that the Patriots head coach sure appreciates Taylor Swift’s toughness and has listened to at least a few of her songs. To decide whether he is a Swiftie, perhaps that’s for Bill to sort for himself. 

The New England Patriots kick off the new season on September 10, 2023, against the Philadelphia Eagles. The fixture will be their first home matchup at the Gillette Stadium which the Patriots will be looking to seal with a victory.
