Before signing with the New York Jets this offseason, Aaron Rodgers was hot property in the QB market. There were a lot of suitors for the future Hall of Famer. One such team rumored to have contacted the Green Bay Packers for Rodgers was the New England Patriots. Rodgers eventually ended up signing for the Jets after coming out of the “darkness retreat” earlier this off-season.

The Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked about this on The Greg Hill Show. He denied that there were any talks about a potential Aaron Rodgers trade. “Look there’s a lot conversations in the offseason between our personnel people and other executives.” Belichick said.

Belichick further continued, “I don’t know what he’s really talking about. I personally didn’t talk to the Packers about Aaron Rodgers.” The Patriots already have a QB in Mac Jones who will enter his third season in the league. Jones is expected to start for the Patriots this season.

Rodgers played for the Packers for 18 seasons since being drafted by them in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He will now play in the Big Apple and will be expected to lead the team to the playoff this season. The Patriots will face Rodgers and the Jets on week 3 at the MetLife Stadium.

Taylor Swift recently performed at the Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. Head coach of the Patriots Bill Belichick was in attendance at one of her shows and was impressed by the singer’s toughness as she braved the New England rain for almost four hours.

While appearing on The Greg Hill Show, Belichick said, “I saw a little bit of Taylor [Swift], that was pretty impressive. She’s tough, man. She stood out there and played right through.” When asked if he officially considers himself a Swiftie or not, Belichick said, “Officially? I don’t know about that.”

The Patriots played their second preseason against Houston Texans. The game did not go well for them as they lost the game 20-9. They will play their final preseason game against the Tennessee Titans this Saturday. The Patriots will host the defending NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles to open their season on September 10.
