Robert Kraft emphasized the importance of having to win this game to HC Bill Belichick.

The New England Patriots matchup against the Indianapolis Colts is one of the most significant ones that Bill Belichick would have ever coached in. While it is just another regular-season game in the NFL, this could be the last time that Belichick will be coaching the Patriots after his 23-year stint with the team.
Earlier this week, FirstSportz reported on the BostonGlobe piece by Ben Volin that stated owner Robert Kraft was considering firing Bill Belichick if the Patriots failed to win their Week 10 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Before the commencement of today’s game, Mr. Kraft told Belichick that the team needed to win this game.
“We need to win this badly,” were his words. This does mean that the game is a do-or-die situation for Bill Belichick. It has come to a stage where Robert Kraft is not convinced about letting his GM and HC finish out the rest of this season.
Robert Kraft is done giving Bill Belichick more opportunities
The New England Patriots have their bye week coming after this game, so that will give Mr. Kraft some time to appoint an interim Head Coach. The Boston Globe had reported that it would be Jerod Mayo who would take over for the rest of the season. He is the linebackers coach for the team.
If this is indeed the last game in which Bill Belichick will be coaching the Patriots, it is far from the fairytale ending to a remarkable tenure that anyone could have anticipated for him.
The broadcast just shared that Robert Kraft told Bill Belichick before the game: "We need to win this badly."

If the #Patriots lose this game, could this be the last game for Belichick with the Patriots? https://t.co/cpPf7mP6XN pic.twitter.com/odNTWeKKXa
However, the Patriots have just been horrendous this season, losing seven games and winning just two. The Patriot Way is no longer working, and it is about time that some significant changes are made to the coaching and front office.
