The Buffalo Bills lost their latest pre-season encounter against the Carolina Panthers by a massive margin of 21-0, but there are bigger things that the franchise has to worry about at the moment. Bills’ rookie punter Matt Araiza has landed himself in hot water courtesy of being allegedly involved in a gang rape.

A lawsuit has been filed against Matt Araiza for allegedly raping a minor 17-year-old girl during an off-campus party in 2021. The news has spread like wildfire over the past couple of days and the Bills have a decision to make on their hands.

According to the lawsuit filed by the woman, Matt Araiza brought her into a room during the off-campus party in California where she was raped by four men including Araiza multiple times before she could escape the room. The shocking nature of the allegations has put the 22-year-old punter on the back foot and Sean McDermott and the Bills decided not to make him part of their latest pre-season fixture.

Araiza was not seen anywhere near the touchline or the locker room, although it had emerged that he did in fact travel with the team to Carolina for this fixture. Bills HC Sean McDermott decided to speak on the issue after the defeat and termed it as an extremely serious situation.

Quite expectedly, the fans have bashed the hell out of Matt Araiza following the allegations. They have made it clear, that they do not want to see Araiza playing in the NFL this season, and urged the Bills to kick him out of the franchise.
