The Buffalo Bills humbled the Dallas Cowboys at their home ground. Once again, the Cowboys were exposed to the difficulties that they had been having outside the home. They trailed from the very first quarter and it only elongated with time. Throughout the game, the Cowboys looked unconvincing, and as a result, they ended up with a shambolic defeat.
The credit behind the great performance of the Bills neither goes to Josh Allen nor their wide receiver Stefon Diggs. It was instead the running back James Cook who stole the show with his brilliant performance on the turf. The RB had 18 attempts for 175 yards. In addition, he had a touchdown as well.
While discussing with the press, Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, considered the performance as one of the best from the RB. He highly appreciated the game of the RB as he said,
Our running backs ran the ball well. James Cook had the most scrimmage yards since 2009. Stefon Diggs, I think the first Bills player to go on for more than 1,000 yards in consecutive four seasons. That is unbelievable.
Allen, on his part, had an average game, and he accepted that. The Bills’ star had just 94 yards for a touchdown. The Cowboys’ defense mostly kept him silent. It was a surprise that despite the poor form of the QB; the Bills prevailed and secured a thumping win over the Cowboys in the high-voltage game.
Josh Allen gave all his flowers to his teammates
In the press conference, Allen gave all his flowers to his teammates and considered himself lucky to be a part of such a team. He said that he felt like a boy in a group who had the least contribution to a project but gained a lot.
We committed to it. James ran hard, Ty ran hard. When you can stay in front of the sticks like we did today, I don't know how many third downs we had today, it could not have been that many. I do not think I threw the ball that many times... Felt like the kid who did not do anything but got an A.
With this win, the Bills kept their hopes for the postseason afloat. Allen also emphasized that they are getting better with time and it could help them if they manage to make it to the playoffs.
