The 2023 NFL season is still in first gear and there is already a lot of drama surrounding the Buffalo Bills. After an astonishing defeat by the hands of the New York Jets in week 1, questions were raised about the Bills ability to defend their division title. QB Josh Allen had a terrible game as he threw for 3 interceptions and had a fumble. Stefon Diggs, Bills’ WR1, had a good game but failed to make any impact in the later stages of the game.
In a recent incident in the press conference, team reporter Maddy Glab, not realizing the mics were on, proceeded to talk trash about Diggs. “There’s no control over Stefon Diggs. Dudes gonna do what he wants to do. He’ll look in my face and say F you…that’s how he treats everybody.” That’s some heat! She later issued an apology on Twitter, owning her mistake.
“I want to take ownership for what I said today. I am very sorry for what I said and meant no ill will,” She said in her apology. “I respect the hell out of Stefon Diggs, and he has been one of my favorite players to cover. He has great character and treats us media with lots of respect.” She concluded by saying “He has a playful relationship with our video department, so that’s why I said he probably wouldn’t say yes to me grabbing him for an interview. I should not have said what I said, and I apologize for that. Stef is not in the wrong, I am.”
Diggs has yet to respond on this incident. He caught 10 passes on Monday for 102 yards and one score in the Bills loss to the Jets. He was criticized by Michael Irvin on the Fox Sports show Undisputed for ‘messing with the confidence’ of Josh Allen. Diggs and the Bills will hope to have a better outing against the Las Vegas Raiders in their next game on Sunday.

Stefon Diggs opens up about QB Josh Allen
Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen have been an elite duo for the past three years since the Bills signed Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings. They have also been involved in a lot of sideline drama. Diggs was seen yelling at Allen during their playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this year. Both of them have publicly refuted the rumors of a rift between them.
Diggs recently appeared on The Von Cast, a podcast hosted by his Bills teammate Von Miller. He addressed those rumors and opened up about his relationship with Allen. “I’ll also say I’m not responsible for how people react to things, I’m not responsible for how somebody feels,” he said before continuing, “I’m more so responsible in how I carry it, and I’m just happy to have my quarterback.”
Diggs and Allen have connected for 338 catches for 4,189 yards and 29 TDs in 49 games. That’s elite-level production. Their next aim will be to reach the Super Bowl as they have failed to do so in the past three seasons. The Bills began their campaign with a shocking loss to the New York Jets. They will look to bounce back against the Las Vegas Raiders in their next game on Sunday.
