On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills went up against their AFC East division rivals New York Jets in their week 11 matchup. The Bills battered the Jets and secured a huge 32-6 victory. However, they also suffered a big blow during the game as their safety, Taylor Rapp, had to be carted off the field due to an injury.

During the final minutes of the first half, the Bills had a 16-point lead and were looking to get the ball back from the Jets. On the other hand, the Jets were trying to get into a field goal to put some points on the board. At this stage, the Jets running back Breece Hall was trying to make a play but was tackled down by the Bills DBs Taron Johnson and Taylor Rapp, but the three players collided in a nasty way.

Initially, Johnson went down on the field and was writhing in pain. Rapp got up after the collision, but a few seconds later, he collapsed on the field. The Bills’ medical personnel checked on the Rapp for a few minutes as the entire stadium went into silence. After passing the games for several minutes, Rapp was carted into an ambulance for further treatment. Check out the video attached below.

As he was being loaded into the ambulance, the Bills players surrounded him. As a good sign, Rapp was able to move his fingers when he was being loaded into the ambulance.

The other Bills defender, Taron Johnson, was also severely injured during the play. He was taken to the blue tent and was ruled out of the game with a concussion.

It is a good sign that Rapp didn’t need any further treatment in the hospital. But what does it mean for the Bills? The Buffalo-based football team is running very thin on their secondary unit. In this game alone, they lost three defensive backs due to multiple injuries.

They are currently fighting for a postseason spot with a record of 6 wins and 5 losses through the first 11 weeks of the game. Next, they will go against the Philadelphia Eagles in a tough road game.
