WATCH: Bills WR Stefon Diggs tells Josh Allen to ‘be smart’ on the sidelines during his poor outing against the Jets amid rumors over their ever-lasting tussle
Diggs was constantly trying his best to help Allen throughout the game in which he became the quarterback who has thrown the most turnover since 2018.

Football is a game about results, and if the best player on the team fails to deliver the goods when required, someone needs to say it to his face. The Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen needed that on Monday night, and Stefon Diggs did just that.
Allen, to many NFL analysts’ eyes, was trying too hard to win the game against an Aaron Rodgers-less New York Jets. It felt as if his every pass would earn a touchdown; on the contrary, he had more picks than six-pointers.
The 27-year-old was in need of someone to calm him down. He found that in the shape of his wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, who tried his best to help his quarterback. In a video shared by Emily Van Buskirk on Twitter, the Pro Bowl playmaker could be heard advising Allen to “be smart.”
Well, his words did not do much good on the day for the Bills. Josh Allen had one of the worst games of his career. Despite leading 13-3 at halftime, the Bills capitulated and dragged the game to overtime, which was a bad omen for Allen in particular. Since his debut in 2018, he has lost all the games that went to OT (0–5). He completed only 52.94 percent of his passes for 205 yards and no touchdowns. Most notable, he threw three interceptions, all to Jets safety Jordan Whitehead. After the game, he admitted that it was “same sh*t.” He was probably echoing the horrible outing against the Jets in November last year.
Josh Allen claims that he won’t let the loss against the Jets affect him

The best way to improve upon a bad performance is to learn from the mistakes. Watching films about where it went wrong and how to make amends shows the character of the player. But it requires resiliency and a tough mind to pull off. Josh Allen understands that and claims that it was just week one, and they can learn from it. They have everything on film and are studying every mistake.
“Our team did a lot of good things,” he said yesterday after the Buffalo Bills finished their practice at Orchard Park, New York. “We don’t wanna take away from that. The grand scheme of things, it’s one game, and we are not gonna let it turn into two.”
Allen revealed that he will not let the defeat against the Jets affect him. He said, “I’m not going to let it affect me going forward. As a quarterback in this league, the best ones are able to put it behind them and also take lessons from it.”
Well, the Bills need to sort things out quickly if they wish to stay relevant in the loaded AFC this season. They will travel to Nevada to face the Las Vegas Raiders for their next game on September 17.
