Football is a violent game and week after week, players in the NFL go out there and literally risk their lives in order to play their best and win games. In this week’s Kansas City Chiefs matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany, one scary play put the violent nature of the game on display.
In the 4th quarter of the game with the Chiefs on offense, outside linebacker Bradley Chubb delivered one of the hardest hits of the game on Isiah Pacheco, the running back. With 13 minutes left on the clock, it was a 1st and 10 play for Kansas City as they attempted to extend their lead.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes dropped back looking for open receivers to throw the ball to, however, with Miami’s defense ready to take him down, he fell short on time and had to throw the ball to Isiah Pacheco. But as soon as he caught the ball, Bradley Chubb came rushing and tackled him right on the spot.

Bradley Chubb sent a strong message to the Chiefs with this hit
The tackle had to be insane as Pacheco’s helmet came off immediately after Chubb pinned him on the ground. When Chubb got up, the running back’s helmet came off and he threw it aside. That is one play that nobody would wish to be on the receiving end of.
Imagine the force that a 215-pound Isiah Pacheco would have felt when a 270-pound force of nature such as Chubb rammed right into his back. It is scary to even put yourself in his shoes. The impact of the hit was such that Pacheco lay down on the field for a moment in order to gather himself back together. The moment this hit was delivered, the entire Chiefs sideline began to protest to the referees as they believed that a flag should have been thrown on this play for unnecessary roughness.

The Chiefs-Dolphins matchup witnessed a lot of poor refereeing with the officiating crew either remaining totally oblivious to holding calls or just not throwing flags as and when needed. As a result of this, both teams suffered equally. It was a hard-fought battle between the teams. Fortunately, Pacheco didn’t suffer any injuries and kept playing despite such a vicious hit.
Thought it looked like Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs would walk away with the W as the Dolphins were down 21-0 at one point, Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins managed to put up 14 points and while it looked like they had a shot at coming back, the Chiefs’ defense did not let that happen. With this loss, Miami will now return to the USA with a 6-3 record while Kansas City improves to a 7-2 record on the season.
