Brock Purdy has the backing of his teammates. After his horrendous performance against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, the Niners’ WR, Brandon Aiyuk, stepped up in support of his quarterback, Purdy.

In an interview with the media post-game, Aiyuk expressed deep faith in Purdy as he said that Purdy would show signs of comeback from the poor patch he had against the Ravens.

This is his first time really getting the other side of it so I’m excited to see how he’ll bounce back. I think he’ll be good.
the WR added in favor of his quarterback.

Brock Purdy had a disastrous night against the Ravens as he had four interceptions with zero touchdowns. He left the field early as his head coach benched him. The team lost 33-19 and Purdy was dubbed responsible for the heavy defeat.

He was brutally trolled after the game. Things went so bad that he had to hear words like ‘MVP was benched‘. Even the NFL’s official YouTube channel came up with a video with the title, “Brock Purdy dropping the MVP” on one of his interceptions clip from the game.

Purdy has had a tumultuous season so far. He started the season on fire. In the first five games, he did not have a single interception. However, in his next three, Purdy was intercepted five times. After the bye-week, he got back the form he was looking for. He shattered opponents like the Eagles with four touchdown games. When analysts hyped him as the most deserving one for the MVP; he had a four-interception game that could affect his MVP goals.

The loss against the Ravens can be vital for the 49ers No. 1 seed

The loss against the Baltimore Ravens could have a vital role in shaping the No.1 conference seed in the NFC side of things. The 49ers were the favorites to bag the seed with 11 wins and three losses. They were ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cowboys. However, the Christmas day loss for the San Fran could bring the Eagles into the seed game.

If the 49ers do not get the seed spot, then they will not be having a home game in the Championship. Last year, they were hosted by the Eagles at the latter’s home in the Championship game and things turned out ugly for Kyle Shanahan‘s men. Everyone will have a close eye on what happens this year.

Purdy’s comeback to his natural form is hence needed. The 49ers need to win their next two games to grab that home advantage in the playoffs.
