“I think his future is bright,” Brian Gutenkunst on Jordan Love’s prospects at the Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers have a major quarterback issue to sort out in the coming seasons. The franchise have arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the form of Aaron Rodgers at their disposal.
Despite having him in their roster for the next couple of seasons after he signed a new contract during the offseason, they are unsure what to do about Jordan Love. Packers drafted rookie QB Love in the 2020 NFL draft but has failed to earn himself a starting spot due to the presence of Rodgers in the roster.
Jordan Love has not earned his starting quarterback position at the Packers
After the 2022 NFL draft’s third round, Packers general manager Brian Gutenkunst praised Jordan Love despite him not being a starter for the franchise even in his second season. Gutenkunst claimed that Jordan Love does have a great future, but isn’t sure whether he can become a starter at the side.
Gutenkunst said, “I think his future is bright. As far as what his future is with us, we’ll kind of see how that goes, obviously with what we’ve done with Aaron and how long Aaron wants to play.”
Aaron Rodgers recently signed a 2-year contract with the Packers during the offseason which will once again see the youngster be sidelined for a greater period of time. They definitely have a decision to make whether to keep him or make a trade move.
