“Dudes cinderella story was meant for only one season” – 49ers QB Brock Purdy gets BASHED on social media for throwing 3 interceptions in joint practice vs the Raiders
Fans speculate Brock Purdy got lucky last season and he is not a great quarterback.

The San Francisco 49ers offense had a hard time slipping past the Las Vegas Raiders defense last Friday. Quarterback Brock Purdy took 68 snaps of 11-on-11 work in the two days of practice. He was part of 39 plays, but what caught everyone’s eye were the mistakes he made on the field.
The pressure from Raiders linebacker Robert Spillane and cornerback Marcus Peters was a sight to behold. Purdy looked sluggish at times, and that showed in his form. As a result, the 23-year-old threw three crucial interceptions.
Purdy’s first interception came during the 11-on-11, during which he managed to complete 15 of the 26 attempted passes. His next thing happened during the 7-on-7 drill, even though it’s passer-friendly.
Brock Purdy recently recovered from a torn UCL and had to go through surgery. One might argue that he is still not 100%. In his rookie year, he almost took the 49ers to the Super Bowl. If he had managed to stay healthy against the Philadelphia Eagles, the results might have been different.
Being the last pick of the 2022 draft, not much was expected of him. However, he proved every doubter wrong after throwing for 1,374 yards and scoring 13 touchdowns while going five matches unbeaten.
Practice with the Raiders provided Purdy with some much-needed exercise before their preseason games began. However, coach Kyle Shanahan revealed he won’t be playing on Sunday against the Raiders.

Social media not impressed by Brock Purdy throwing interceptions during Raiders practice
It may only be a preseason practice session, and players are allowed to make mistakes, but the fans don’t agree. The San Francisco 49ers were already short on experienced quarterbacks, and now if last year’s sensation Brock Purdy makes bad mistakes during practice, then in the regular season it would be chaos.
Trent Williams isn’t bothered by his QB’s mistakes during joint practice
Brock Purdy’s miscues during the Raiders joint practice may have left the 49ers fans sweating bullets, but offensive tackle Trent Williams does not want to dissect too much. According to him, that’s what training sessions are for.
” I got faith in Coach. I got faith in Brock,” Williams told the reporters after the practice concluded. “It’s the preseason. The guy just got back from a six-month rehab. I’m not putting too much into a practice interception.”
The 35-year-old, in the twilight of his career, has seen it all before. He was focused on his own drills and claimed he did not even realize Purdy threw interceptions.
“I literally don’t even think about it,” the 10-time Pro Bowler revealed. “I wouldn’t even have known if you didn’t tell me.” (H/T: 49erswebzone)
As previously mentioned, Brock Purdy won’t be taking to the field on Sunday against the Raiders. Add Trent Williams’ name to that as well. It seems Trey Lance may finally get a run.
