The Super Bowl week has officially begun! On Monday, both the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs attended the Super Bowl week opening day media event. In the event, the 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was asked to build a dream fantasy squad, and he put the Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen in his squad over himself.

During the event, the 49ers’ Pro Bowl signal-caller was asked to build his dream fantasy squad. Purdy was smart enough to select the whole Niners squad including running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Deebo Samuel as his skill players.

I mean, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo, [Brandon] Aiyuk, George Kittle. The list goes on, I would have my whole team on the fantasy team.

However, when the reporter stressed about the team’s quarterback, Purdy made a surprising move to put the Bills QB Josh Allen ahead of him.

The reporter likely asked Purdy to name another quarterback apart from him, but that didn’t stop fans from trolling the young quarterback on social media. Nonetheless, Purdy is one of the major reasons for the 49ers’ success this year. On the other hand, Allen failed to make it to the Pro Bowl despite a good campaign.

He had a great campaign in his first full year as a starter and finished as an MVP finalist. Besides, he has led the Niners all the way to a Super Bowl appearance and had to register comeback victories twice during their playoff run. Unlike last year, Purdy is now battle-tested and has proven to be someone capable of leading an NFL franchise.

Now, he would look to finish the season by defeating the Kansas City-based football team and lifting the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday. Purdy has a great team around him to achieve that.
