NFL is fast approaching the trade deadline and teams looking to buy and sell according to their future plans. One of the possible sellers in the current trade market is the Denver Broncos, who have an ugly record of 2 wins and 5 losses currently. The Broncos are reportedly trying to sell some of their best assets, including wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, to acquire draft picks that will help in their rebuild in their future.

Amidst this situation, a new report has emerged from Sports Illustrated that the Broncos might be asking a little too much in return for their wide receiver No. 1 Jerry Jeudy. According to reports, the Broncos were expecting a first-round draft pick in return for Jeudy before the 2023 NFL Draft that concluded back in April.

It is unsure if the Broncos are staying on that price, but not many teams would be on board to give up a first-rounder for Jeudy. The Alabama product has been in the league for 4-years and is yet to register a single 1000-plus receiving yards season. Furthermore, he hasn’t received a Pro Bowl nod or even a second-team All-Pro recognition.

It is true that Jeudy had his best campaign in the 2022 season when he caught 67 passes for 972 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. For comparison, the Minnesota Vikings‘ rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison has caught 6 touchdown passes through the first 7 weeks of the 2023 season.

So, Jeudy certainly hasn’t been playing at a high level and it’s highly unlikely any NFL general manager would be ready to cough up a valuable first-round draft pick as an investment on Jeudy, who is currently playing in the final year of his rookie deal.

NFL fans on social media made fun of the Broncos for reportedly asking for a 1st round pick for the 4th-year wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Furthermore, the fans also clowned the Denver-based football team for expecting a second-round pick for the 6th-year pass catcher Courtland Sutton.

As of now, no team has seemingly offered a deal to acquire Jeudy. However, the Carolina Panthers — who lost their premium receiver DJ Moore in the off-season — have been heavily linked with Jeudy in the last few days.

Nonetheless, Jeudy is not expected to be traded before the deadline. It is highly likely that Jeudy will play out his rookie deal and then play on his 5th-year option, which the Broncos picked back in May.
