Bruce Miller, who played as a fullback in NFL for 6 years with the San Francisco 49ers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, comes under fire for getting into social media beef with Congressman Eric Swalwell.

The former 49ers fullback allegedly sent a direct message to the U.S. congressman Eric Swalwell on Twitter, calling him a traitor and threatening to execute him. The 42-year-old congressman Swalwell shared an image of a direct message from the ex-NFL player, which read, “Would you rather Guantanamo or just execution, f**ing traitor”

“Who is this guy threatening to execute me? And how does he have so many followers?,” asked Swalwell to his Twitter followers. His followers told him that he was a former running back for the 49ers. Furthermore, Swalwell has notified the threat to the U.S. Capital according to multiple reports and told NBC that his family is deeply disturbed by the unwarranted threat by Miller.

“My family and staff are deeply disturbed by the threat of execution…apparently by former 49er Bruce Miller,” Swalwell told NBC’s Raj Mathai. “Threats of political violence are unacceptable.”

Eric Swalwell is a representative of the 14th district of California. He had an unsuccessful presidential campaign during the Democratic primary elections back in 2020.

Bruce Miller, on the other hand, has a long history of violence which tarnished his NFL career. Back in 2015, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge after destroying a woman’s mobile phone. Moreover, the following year, he was arrested for elder abuse after he allegedly attacked a 70-year-old man and his 29-year-old son. The 49ers released him following the second incident.

After Eric Swalwell publicly called out the former San Francisco 49ers running back Bruce Miller for threatening to execute him, Miller responded with a rant and accused Swalwell of committing the biggest fraud in US history.

“Under the leadership of you and the other corrupt leadership. But you’d rather spend the last 7 years committing the biggest fraud in US history, instead of helping people. One that all of you knew from conception was a fraud, and it’s very clear. I never threatened you,” tweeted Miller.

“I am not a threat to you or anyone else for that matter. However, you and the uniparty are a threat to the country and to the world. While your busy deflecting to bs and running around screwing Chinese spies while sitting on an intelligence committee, the Bay Area is in decay.”

Miller has been out of the league for more than 2 years. He last played for the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2020. Nevertheless, Swalwell revealed that the 49ers reached out to him and shared their concern for the behavior of their former player.
