Bryce Young is settling into his role as the quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. He was recently shown his locker room space and the young signal-caller showed it to his parents as well, getting quite emotional while doing so.
NFL Insider Dov Kleiman shared the video on Twitter showing Bryce Young with his parents — mom Julie and dad Craig Young. His parents looked at the locker room with his jersey, helmet, and other equipment. The three shared a warm hug with tears of pride in the rookie’s eyes as Julie exclaimed, “We did it.”
Bryce Young definitely did it despite there being more than a few concerns. The Alabama superstar didn’t perform at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, and later on, reports flooded about teams having issues over his small size. Many draft experts believed that no team would pick him in the first round because he didn’t look big and strong enough to survive the hits of edge rushers storming toward him to blow his head off.
However, Young beat all odds owing to his great football IQ and ability to thread the needle with immaculate precision. This is the reason why the Panthers moved up the draft and exchanged places with the Chicago Bears to select Bryce Young first overall.

Tom Brady’s advice for Bryce Young
Last month, legendary quarterback Tom Brady met with Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis and shared a few trade secrets with the rising stars. Young said that the 7x Super Bowl champion told him being the first overall pick doesn’t entitle him to anything. He will have to work his way up.
Young said, “I have never thrown an NFL pass in a game. I have no stats, no wins, nothing. We’re all on an even playing field. He said that I have to earn everything. I have to work my way up and prove myself every day.”
That is a piece of really great advice. Being drafted first overall doesn’t guarantee any success. Brady was the 199th pick of the 2000 NFL draft, and several years later, he etched his name in sports history books as one of the greatest athletes ever.
Tom Brady had grit and determination; he never wanted to lose and took every loss as a personal defeat. This attitude made him the best quarterback in NFL history, with a resume that no one comes close to. Bryce Young added that he will work hard every day and improve himself. He highlighted that he will be grounded at the same time and not let the success get to his head.
