It’s very difficult to accurately predict a weather forecast from the beginning, as it can change drastically in a couple of hours.
Just a few days ago, the winter office announced that there was a 58% chance of rain and a 20% chance of thunderstorms when Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Philadelphia Eagles in Flordia for the NFC Wild Card game on Monday, January 15th.

The teams will get into Raymond James Stadium, finding themselves on the opposite spectrum of each other.
Even though the Eagles finished second in the NFC East with an 11-6 record in the regular season, they ranked behind the Buccaneers in the NFC playoff seed.
Tampa leaped over them despite the 9-8 record because they won the NFC South. But more importantly, they have won five of their last six games, while the Eagles lost five of their last six after a 10-1 start to the season.
And to make matters worse, the latest forecast says the weather will be even worse than previously predicted. Eagles Nation shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the chances of rain increased to 96% with a heavy thunderstorm.
Odds for Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles
Fresh from bagging an extra $1 million incentive from playing more than 99% of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers games this season, Baker Mayfield may well earn more if he wins the wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

His smart agents added a clause that will allow him to take home $250,000 for every Buccaneers playoff win.
However, according to SportsLine sports book, the Eagles are 3-point favorites to beat the Bucs in their home.
- Buccaneers vs. Eagles spread: Philadelphia -3
- Buccaneers vs. Eagles over/under: 43.5 points
- Buccaneers vs. Eagles money line: Philadelphia -157, Tampa Bay +133
Head coach Nick Sirianni would prefer turning a new page for the postseason. There’s still uncertainty about whether quarterback Jalen Hurts will be available or not after hurting a finger on his throwing hand on Matchday 18. If he does start, then he must link with wide receiver A.J. Brown more.
Brown is fifth in the league with 1,456 receiving yards, which is an Eagles record. His 106 receptions ranked eighth in the NFL.
As for the Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield proved to be a successful gamble. The 28-year-old finished the season with 4,044 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
His best bet will be to find veteran wide receiver Mike Evans at every opportunity he gets. Evans holds the best receptions-to-touchdown ratio in 2023.
He scored 13 touchdowns on 79 catches for 1255 yards. The next best is Tyreek Hill, who scored 13 from 119 receptions.
