“He’s ours!” Bills GM Beane Shuts sends SHOCKWAVES with a ‘bold’ claim over Stefon Diggs trade fiasco after tussle rumors with QB Josh Allen
Stefon Diggs is here to stay on the Buffalo Bills, the team's GM Brandon Beane confirmed.
Stefon Diggs is not going anywhere. The General Manager for the Buffalo Bills, Brandon Beane shut down all the rumors with respect to the wideout being traded to another team before the commencement of the NFL season. The status of Diggs has been in question as he was absent for the first day of mandatory minicamp in June, this led to a lot of doubts regarding his future with the team.
Stefon Diggs has expressed displeasure in the past regarding his role in the Buffalo Bills offense. This led fans to believe that he was not happy with the team and wanted to request a trade to a different spot. There were rumors of a rift between him and the Buffalo Bills organization. But the team’s General Manager Brandon Beane who appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday dismissed these rumors.
“No one called on Diggs. I think people know that he’s ours and we wouldn’t (trade him). Even if there was an issue, and he was never asking to be traded, that never came up. I’ve got a decent relationship with his agent, Adisa Bakari.” So that clears things up, Stefon Diggs will be suiting up for the Buffalo Bills this season. That ought to bring a sense of relief to fans who have been wondering what the future holds for the wideout.

Stefon Diggs will be back in action for the Buffalo Bills this season
The team’s GM goes on to add, “It was truly never an issue for us, it was more just getting in a room and talking through how last season finished and getting on the same page.” That would explain why the Buffalo Bills appeared to be rather unfazed with the fact that Stefon Diggs did not show up to practice and did not take his tweets taking shots at the team’s offense seriously.
From a merely financial standpoint, Stefon Diggs has no reason to walk away from the Buffalo Bills. The man is on a 4-year contract worth $160 million, that number alone would make him hard to trade almost immediately. Stefon Diggs has been critical of the fact that the Buffalo Bills have come up short in clutch moments. The wideout was not happy with his team’s Divisional Round loss to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals back in January.
He went on a Twitter rant by posting cryptic messages and liking tweets that were critical of Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense. This led to the notion that Diggs was done with the team and his relationship with Allen had soured. All the silence on this matter just led to fans buying into this narrative. However, now that the man himself, Brandon Beane has spoken, the Bills mafia can be rest assured that they will get to see their favorite wideout back in action!
