During his brief time with the Philadelphia Eagles, C. J. Gardner-Johnson did not find it to be a “home sweet home.” While he was enjoying his playtime with the Phillies on the field, it was off the field that he was aghast. In a recent revelation, Gardner-Johnson claimed that he had grown tired of all the shenanigans the local people pulled in Philadelphia.

The 25-year-old was traded to the Eagles after he was let go by the New Orleans Saints in August 2022. He became an instant hit with the Eagles faithful as their No. 1 safety. Gardner-Johnson started the first 11 games before suffering a lacerated kidney in Week 12. He was leading the league with tackles. After he was fit to rejoin the team, Gardner-Johnson proved his worth once more. He finished the season with 67 sacks (61 solo). He also played in the Super Bowl final against the Kansas City Chiefs and recorded three tackles but lost the game.

Winning the championship may have given Gardner-Johnson reason to remember Phillie in a better light. Instead, his experience outside the field of play left a bad impression, especially among the people. In a recent video, an Eagles fan asked Gardner-Johnson what the one thing he hated the most about Philadelphia was. Johnson was streaming a racing game as he answered, “The people…they’re f**king obnoxious; I f***ing can’t stand the f**kers.”

Could Gardner-Johnson be hinting about his car going missing when he was facing the New York Giants in the playoffs? Nevertheless, he did mention that he enjoyed the weather. Considering C. J. Gardner-Johnson comes from Florida, where the heat can sometimes get unbearable, Philadelphia is much more soothing. After his year-long stint, Johnson moved to the Detroit Lions, signing a one-year contract worth $8 million.

Similar to other sports video games, EA Sports publishes the NFL-focused video game Madden every year. As the 2023 season fast approaches, the newest addition to the video game went live. The game gives ratings to each player based on their previous year’s exploits on the field.

The Lions’ C. J. Garnder-Johnson is not too happy with the assessment done by the game developers. Considering he was one of the leading tackles in the league last season, Gardner-Johnson believes that his rating should be higher. Currently, he is the 20th-best Safety in the game with an 84 overall.

Wide Receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is the leading player in the Lions pack with an 87 overall. He is the 19th-highest-rated wideout in the game, EA revealed this Monday. They will continue to announce more player ratings by the week’s end.
