The Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is one of the top QB prospects in the 2023 NFL draft class. The Carolina Panthers, who currently hold the no.1 pick, is showing a lot of interest in Stroud, but the S2 cognitive test result raises a red flag about the talented QB.
Just a few days ahead of the much anticipated NFL Draft, the projected 1st overall pick C.J. Stroud‘s draft stock takes a huge hit after a leaked s2 test reveals a poor performance by Stroud.
According to multiple reports, Stroud had a score of 18% on the s2 cognitive test. It is the lowest score by a QB from the 2023 draft class per reports. For comparison, the Alabama signal-caller Bryce Young had the highest score of all the quarterbacks, with a score of 98%. Furthermore, the other projected first-round quarterback, Will Levis, scored 93% and Anthony Richardson had a 79% score.
One NFC executive described the s2 cognition test as a great one. He went on to claim that if a quarterback gets a high score; it doesn’t mean he’ll become a great NFL player, but if a QB gets a low score, they will probably be a bad player. According to the anonymous NFC executive, none of the quarterbacks that got a low score went on to become great players in the league.

NFL executive boldly claims C.J. Stroud will be bust in the NFL
After C.J. Stroud’s disastrously low score in the S2 cognition test went viral on social media, an anonymous NFL executive claimed that the Ohio State QB will probably be a bust in the league. “Stroud scored 18,” an executive said. “That is like red alert, red alert. You can’t take a guy like that. That is why I have Stroud as a bust. That in conjunction with the fact, name one Ohio State quarterback that’s ever done it in the league.”
Additionally, an NFL scout claimed that Stroud’s mellow and laidback personality is a cause for concern. He said that Bryce Young, who processes everything so quickly, should get drafted before Stroud. “I don’t see how anyone can look at those two play football and you’d want that guy (Stroud) over Young. Bryce’s mind is so quick and he processes so fast. Whereas with Stroud, everything is much, much more programmed,” an NFL scout said.
Anyhow, the Panthers have already set their eyes on the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young. This S2 cognition test result might be the final straw in their decision. Now the real question is what would the Houston Texans do with their No.2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft? Only time will tell.
