The game was expected to be a low-scoring one but both teams put on an offensive showdown till the last minute. Especially, the Texans QB Stroud put up the best performance of his career so far.

In the game, Stroud completed a whopping 71.1% of his pass attempts for 470 yards and 5 passing touchdowns, which is statistically the best performance by any quarterback so far in this ongoing NFL season. For his game, Stroud had a passer rating of 147.8. Stroud spread the ball around, which resulted in 3 players registering 100-plus receiving yards in the game.

Besides, Stroud also showed his clutchness as he successfully conducted a game-winning drive. With just 46 seconds left in the 4th quarter, the Buccaneers scored a touchdown to take a 4-point lead. So, Stroud only had 46 seconds left in the clock to score a touchdown to secure a Texans victory.

The Texans had 75 yards to go in 46 seconds and they did it in 40 seconds and six plays. C.J. Stroud connected with a wide-open Tank Dell for a 15-yard game-sealing touchdown and only six seconds left in the clock for Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers.

In the game, Stroud set a record for passing yards in a single game by a rookie as he finished with 470 yards. The previous record was held by Andrew Luck, who had 433 yards in a game during his rookie year.

Nonetheless, the Texans managed to register their 4th win of the season as they defeated the Bucs 39-37 in a thrilling game. With that victory, they moved to a solid 4-4 record and are in the hunt for winning the AFC South division title.
