The NFL Combine is an event where the best prospects vying to enter the league showcase their talents and skillset. The week comes with intense pressure as the athletes are required to be at their best in front of team scouts. It is hectic as they have to partake in on-field drills and off-the-field interviews that help teams gauge their personality.
However, it gives college football players a valuable opportunity to bond with one another and have some harmless fun! Caleb Williams, the QB from USC decided to have some fun with his teammate Brenden Rice, the son of none other than Jerry Rice, the greatest wide receiver in NFL history. During Rice’s press conference, Williams dropped by and had a few questions of his own to ask.
Caleb Williams had these questions to ask:
How does it feel to be Jerry Rice's son? Why should they draft you as a fantasy player and should you be a wide receiver or should you be a flex player?Caleb Williams asked at the NFL Combine media interaction

He went on to answer his QB’s second question and he said:
I should be wide receiver, obviously. Me and you, shoot, what did we have 45 catches and 12 touchdowns?...I had a pretty good quarterback!Brenden Rice added
Brenden Rice ended his season with 791 yards on 45 catches and 12 touchdowns. He averaged 17.6 yards per catch. He put up an impressive performance on the 40-yard dash as he recorded a 4.51 second time. His performance in the drills of the combine were impressive as he his route running and catching skills put scouts on notice.
Despite his last name, Brenden Rice is not expected to be a first-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft. He is expected to be drafted in the middle rounds of the draft, but it is hard to deny that he has immense potential in him. He could turn out to be the underdog wideout of this draft class. Caleb Williams on the other hand, is expected to be the first pick in this year’s draft. The quarterback’s actions indicate that he is confident and will be drafted at the top.
