Another frustrating night for the USC Trojans as the team was ruled out from the PAC-12 title race after a horrendous loss against the No.6 Oregon Ducks on Saturday Night College Football. The match was Caleb Williams‘ worst performance this season in terms of pass completion.

The QB broke into tears last week after the game against the Washington Huskies. That game troubled their PAC-12 future and the game against Oregon put the last nail in the coffin.

Caleb completed the game with 291 passing yards with a touchdown and completed 19 of his 34 passes. Oregon’s quarterback Bo Nix outplayed him with four touchdowns for 412 yards. In addition to it, Nix also completed 23 of his 31 passes.

The Trojans are now 7-4 after 11 games. Abiding by the changed rules of the Championship game, two teams need to have the highest number of winning percentages to become eligible for the Pac-12 Championship game and the Trojans are far away from having that. Back-to-back disasters against the ranked teams made their college football journey difficult.

After the loss against Oregon, fans questioned the ability of Caleb Williams to play against big teams. Williams had a dream as a Trojans’ quarterback to win the season-end team trophy. However, that seems to remain a dream for him as his team failed to make it to the Pac-12 championship game.
