It is final. The Chicago Bears have made room to draft their next franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams. After trading Justin Fields, a first-round pick in the NFL Draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers for virtually nothing, the team has sent a clear message that they are going to be drafting Williams. Fields, despite his best efforts, was not the man for the job, at least that is how the Bears organization views it.

The Chicago Bears have the first pick in the NFL Draft this season and will choose Caleb Williams. The team has had their eyes on him for quite some time now. Ian Rapoport, the NFL insider revealed that this decision of the team was final and that Williams was being viewed by them as a long-term option.

In light of this, the question which arises is will the Bears surround Williams with the right talent and create a favorable environment for him to win or will they do him wrong like they did Fields? The organization has been criticized for ruining Justin Fields and his career. The growing concern now is if the same will happen to Caleb Williams.
