Caleb Williams is one of the most exciting college prospects in recent years. From the moment he took over for Spencer Rattler in Oklahoma’s Week 6 game against Texas in the 2021 college football season, he put himself on the map. Furthermore, he transferred from Oklahoma to USC in 2022 and won the coveted Heisman award in his first year with the Trojans. And now, after an illustrious season, the QB picks the Miami Dolphins as the ideal spot for him in the next stage of his career since he would be able to play alongside WR Tyreek Hill among others.

The 21-year-old will only be eligible for NFL Draft in 2024 and has already created a lot of buzz around the league. Fans on many teams are calling for their team to tank for the No.1 spot so that they can pick Caleb Williams to lead their team. Amidst this situation, the USC sophomore talked to PEOPLE magazine about his future in the National Football League.

The projected No.1 pick is still not decided on entering the 2024 Draft. Given that there’s still almost a year left for him to make the decision, the QB says that he will make the decision only when the comes. “I can’t say right now [what I’ll do],” Williams said to PEOPLE magazine. “The expectation from everybody would be that I would leave and go pro, but that would be a very, very in-the-moment kind of decision after speaking to family members and mentors that I believe in and trust their word.”

Caleb Williams went on to say that he would like to play for the Dolphins since they have multiple weapons that could benefit the quarterback. “I like to be around younger coaches,” Williams says. “I’d probably go to the Dolphins. I also would be able to play with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki, the defense isn’t bad. That’s probably my number one spot.”

However, Williams also claims that although he prefers some teams over others, he’ll still play anywhere in the league. San Fran, Raiders or Falcons,” Williams said about other teams who are at the top of his list to play as their signal-caller in the future. “I’d play anywhere.”

Nevertheless, any team that ends up with the No.1 draft pick will look into USC prospect Caleb Williams since he’s the prototype NFL quarterback who will immediately shine on the big stage. But there’s still more than one year to see how that plays out.
