Caleb Williams discloses the reason why he paints his nails as he continues to face backlash for doing so

Athletes often share their fashion sense and fans go gaga over that. Soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo‘s hairstyle created much hype among fans and a lot of people followed his way. Recently, Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the USC Trojans, made headlines with his fingernails. His nails are a piece of artwork, and he now has revealed an interesting detail about them.
Recently, the Trojans QB opened up regarding his nails. In an interaction with USC Athletics, the player said that he started designing his nails three years ago. The QB also stated about his mother’s influence on him as he designs his nails every week. He said that his mother does her nails regularly.
“I started, I say, three years ago at Gonzaga College High School. My mom does nails. To start off, she has done it for my whole life. Then nobody else does it… every week it gets changed,” the player added. He further stated that he does not care about what other people say.
Caleb Williams is one of the big names in college football. As a QB, he has created ripples this season as well. In six games, the QB covered 1,822 passing yards and successfully completed 119 of his 166 passes. The QB also registered 22 touchdowns and a single interception. Williams has maintained a solid passing completion rate of 71%.
Williams astonished everyone with his performance last year. The QB won the Heisman Trophy as he threw for 4,537 yards and registered 42 touchdowns. He also rushed for an additional 382 yards and registered 10 touchdowns. Once again, he is looking to win the coveted trophy this year.
Williams wants more from the upcoming seasons
Despite winning the Heisman trophy, Caleb Williams wants more from the coming seasons so that he can be drafted into the NFL. The college football player wants to win trophies that could help him to get drafted.
In one of the interviews, Williams said, “You look at that 2019 LSU team. They went undefeated and won the national championship. Obviously, Joe Burrow went first in that draft, but everybody got drafted. That’s what I want. Winning doesn’t only help myself, but it helps my other teammates get drafted and up their stock.”
