Former Carolina Panthers‘ QB Cam Newton hasn’t played in the NFL for some time now. He last played in the NFL in 2021 for the Panthers. He had a brief stint with the New England Patriots as well, in 2020. Newton is a free agent at the moment. He was one of the most exciting QBs in the 2010s, winning a league MVP award in 2015 and led his team to a Super Bowl appearance that year.
However, Newton is in the news for another reason. He has reportedly filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor demanding a return of his 2017 Bentley. He hired a server to serve Proctor with legal papers at her home in Atlanta. Newton and Proctor dated for six years before separating in 2019 after Newton had an affair with Instagram model, La Reina Shaw. They have four children together.
In the lawsuit, Newton claimed that he had allowed his then-girlfriend to use his 2017 Bentley Bentayga while they were together. The suit further said, “Although the relationship has ended, [Kia] remains in possession of the Car and refuses to return the car” to Newton. “In 2019, the relationship ended, and [Kia] moved out of [Newton’s] residence,” the lawsuit further explained.
The former NFL MVP and the stripper started dating in 2013 but broke up in 2019. Newton fathered a son with Shaw before the birth of his fourth child with Proctor, which led to the separation. Newton hasn’t retired from football and can make a return to the NFL as a lot of teams are struggling with their quarterback play at the moment.

Cam Newton opened up about a difficult return to Auburn to get his degree
Cam Newton was drafted first overall in the 2011 draft. He was a hot property in 2011 as he had won the Heisman Trophy the previous year playing for the Auburn Tigers. He decided to skip his senior year of college and declared for the 2011 NFL draft. His mother, however, wanted him to finish his education and get a degree. Newton promised his mother that he would do that later.
He recently said that it was not easy to go back to Auburn and finish his degree. “I saw college in a very different way that I had not seen college before.” Newton said in an old interview. ” So it wasn’t a normal college experience. But I was there for one reason – to get that degree.”
Newton played in the NFL till 2021. He is currently a free agent. The former Carolina Panthers’ signal-caller is the NFL’s all-time leader in quarterback rushing touchdowns. He is second all-time in quarterback rushing yards. He won MVP in 2015 and was also the league’s best offensive player that year.
