According to reports, the Steelers want to extend Tomlin further, but the head coach is yet to confirm his plans going forward. It will be an interesting offseason in Pittsburgh.
Mike Tomlin talked about the Steelers loss against the Bills on Monday
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday. The Bills were favorites to win the game, but the Steelers have been one of the trickiest teams to beat all season. The finished the season 10-7 and were expected to make some noise in the postseason. However, the Bills took care of business and ended Mike Tomlin and the Steelers’ season.
The head coach talked about the loss after the game. Tomlin said:
I’m appreciative of the efforts. But it’s not mystical. We didn’t do what was required to win tonight. Can’t come into an environment like this with a playoff-caliber team and turn the ball over like that and expect to be competitive.
Mike Tomlin said
He later walked off the podium when asked about his contract situation going forward.
Tomlin’s future will be a hot topic during the upcoming offseason. The legendary, Super Bowl-winning head coach will be a top commodity in the coaching market if decides to move on from Pittsburgh. It will be an interesting storyline to follow after the season.
