Kyler Murray tore his ACL eight months ago. He hasn’t played competitive football for that period, and it is natural for him to want to get back to playing the sport he loves. The Arizona Cardinals are in a rebuilding phase this year, and with Murray out, they have a former fourth-round pick in Joshua Dobbs calling the shots at center.
Murray continues to rehab in the Cardinals facility, and he recently posted a video on his TikTok account doing squats with a dumbbell. There were a series of captions that shared Murray’s rehab journey. Murray said, ”I’ve never missed the game like this.” Murray’s heart remains in football, and hopefully, he can make a successful comeback later in the season.
Murray wrote about his recovery from the torn ACL in the post. The QB never had any major injuries like this in his entire career. Murray had an underwhelming 2022 campaign. He could not build from his team’s 11-6 finish in the 2021 season. The injury toward the end of the last season further dampened the team’s hopes.
The Cardinals drafted Murray first overall in the 2019 NFL draft. He started his college football career at Texas A&M before transferring to Oklahoma. Murray was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 and was selected to the Pro Bowl twice. He will miss the next couple of games, and the Cardinals hopes to have their QB back as soon as possible. Murray obviously can’t wait to get back.
Kyler Murray and Nike unveil a new cleat
Kyler Murray hasn’t played football this season. He tore his ACL last year and has been nursing that injury since then. Although he hasn’t played football, Murray treated his fans with an unveiling of a brand-new cleat inspired by Dunk Flow.
Murray’s branding appeared on the sock liner of a Nike Vapour Edge Pro 360 2, designed to seem like a Nike Dunk. In the form of spikes, “NIKE” writing, and profile swooshes, a sequence of bronze and deep green accents is placed over a white background. Together, the aforementioned elements strengthen Murray’s place in Swoosh history while extending the legacy of Peter Moore‘s Nike Dunk.
Murray will hope to return as soon as possible after missing football for almost one year. The Cardinals have started the season 0-2 and will hope to get back their former first-overall pick as quickly as possible. They will play their next game against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday.
