Carson Wentz has always been an average quarterback who is currently a free agent in the NFL. The 30-year-old QB had stints with various teams in his career. However, he couldn’t settle in one place for a long time.

Recently, the free agent decided to go on a hunting expedition in the state of Alaska. The isolated state is known for its lush wildlife and beautiful landscape. However, the former Washington Commanders QB went there for another thing altogether.

Wentz always wanted to hunt a black bear and ticked off his bucket list this time in Alaska. The QB is a hunting connoisseur and likes hunting animals.

He also celebrated his success by posting a couple of pictures on Instagram. The picture included him with a black bear that had recently lost his life. Additionally, there was also a massive crossbow indicating that was the weapon of choice for Wentz.

““Got the opportunity to spot and stalk black bear in one of our new favorite places on earth—Alaska! Incredible trip and an incredible animal!” Carson Wentz stated in his Instagram caption.

His recent post with a black bear ignited a flame of controversy and the former NFL QB was soon engulfed by it. Many started a petition to unfollow him on social media following his alleged insensitive acts.

The wildlife has taken a severe hit in recent times and many animals have started to get endangered. Amidst all those things, Carson Wentz hunting a Black Bear and advertising it on social media wasn’t taken well by the people.

NFL Twitter was enraged after looking at the pictures and quickly decided to call out the former Eagles QB. Many started to insult him based on the inefficiency of his game while calling out his lukewarm career in the NFL.

Although it is legal to hunt a bear in the state of Alaska, it is considered extremely sensitive. The Bear population has been in decline and Wentz must have understood that. However, he became a laughingstock on Twitter and was brutally made fun of by many.

Carson Wentz’s wife is Madison Oberg and his NFL career is currently at a standstill. However, it is expected that his recent hunting endeavor in Alaska will have adverse effects on his future in the league.
