CeeDee Lamb, the wide receiver of the Dallas Cowboys, finally spoke extensively about the controversial comments that his mother recently made. After the team’s unfortunate playoff exit, his mother criticized Dak Prescott. She said that the Cowboys need to get rid of the quarterback Dak Prescott after multiple playoff failures.

After a few days of silence, CeeDee Lamb addressed the elephant in the room. Denying what his mother stated, the WR said that he believes in Dak Prescott. He further noted that he believes in Prescott’s ability to lead the squad in the further time. 

I know what my mom said. Let’s get the elephant out the room. I have not been talking to my mom about any of this. I don’t talk to my mom about my sports nor my personal problems. She’s just being a mom. She knows her son. He comes home mad when we lose. She had the opportunity to voice her opinion on Facebook.

Lamb’s mother was not the first person to criticize Prescott post Cowboys’ early exit from the postseason. Prescott was subjected to criticism from Micah Parsons’ brother as well.

Dak Prescott had another difficult postseason

After a brilliant regular season with the highest number of touchdowns among the quarterbacks, Prescott became one of the favorites for the 2023 MVP Award. With the devastating form he showed, the quarterback earned the trust of the analysts so much so that the analysts claimed that he would beat the Green Bay Packers easily in the wildcard round.

However, the reality was different. The quarterback choked once again in the playoffs as he threw two interceptions. One of his interceptions was turned into a pick-six and created a heavy roadblock to the Cowboys’ playoff fate. Though he tried to come back with three touchdowns in later half of the game, that did not help the Cowboys to turn the table upside down.

Despite the recent failure, the Cowboys management and HC have maintained their full trust in the quarterback. It looks like Prescott will be signing another contract for the next season.
