On Sunday, the Los Angeles Chargers led by their star quarterback Justin Herbert defeated the Las Vegas Raiders in their week 4 matchup. With that loss, the Raiders fell to 1-3 and are now on a 3-game losing streak. However, that was not the only loss the Raiders fans took that night. Off the field, a Raiders fan was pushed down the stairs by a Chargers fan during the game.
In a short video originally posted by X user @1ricardovargas, a Chargers fan wearing a Justin Herbert jersey could be seen getting into a fight with a Raiders fan, who was wearing a Howie Long jersey in the stands. It is unclear what started the scuffle but the Raiders fan seemed to be intoxicated when he was exchanging words with the Chargers fan.
While the two were exchanging words, the Chargers supporter got up and seemingly headbutted the Raiders fan which then turned into a brawl. The Chargers took a swing and knocked down the Raiders fan twice before shoving him down the stairs while the audience was watching the scuffle. Check out the footage attached below.
After the Raiders fan was pushed down the stairs, another Las Vegas supporter, who was wearing a Charles Woodson jersey, finally stepped up to intervene and de-escalate the situation.
In the end, the Raiders fan with Howie Long jersey walked away from the fight, seemingly putting an end to the scuffle. It is unclear what started the fight between the two fans or what happened to the guy who was knocked down twice before getting shoved down the stairs. It is also unknown if the security or the cops were called because of this incident. Nonetheless, the Justin Herbert-led Chargers won the game on Sunday and improved to 2-2 in their 2023 campaign.

NFL fan fights are becoming a regular occurrence
Fan fights in sporting venues are not a new thing. Fans have been fighting in the stands in every sport since spectator sports started. But in recent few days, NFL fan fights are becoming a recurring theme, which is a concerning thing.
Recently, a New England Patriots fan named Dale Mooney got killed in one such fan fight during the Patriots game against the Miami Dolphins. Mooney collapsed and later died after getting punched in the head by a Dolphins fan. Apart from this, many other fan fights have been happening in the NFL games in recent days.
Football fans on social media have called for the NFL to step in and take some action to stop the continuous fan fights. Fans are suggesting that banning alcohol from stadiums might prevent unnecessary fights in the future.
