It’s called ‘Slap Kabaddi.’ When running back, D’Onta Foreman touched the end zone for the Chicago Bears on last Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, he and fullback Khari Blasingame got into a mock slap-fight. Needless to say, they were enjoying themselves very much.
Foreman raised his hands and then went for rigorous slaps at Blasingame, who returned the favor with some of his own moves. The endzone had become their ring. NFL players are masters of whipping up bizarre celebrations, and this was no different.

Those who closely monitor social media may have come across Foreman’s moves. It was a recreation of the viral ‘Slap Kabaddi, a Pakistani wrestling game. Clips of the sport have been making the rounds on Twitter for quite some time. It features two shirtless men slapping the hell out of each other until one gives up. It’s a subgenre of the Indian sport of Kabaddi.
Did D’Onta Foreman premeditate the ‘slap kabaddi’ celebration?
Before the game against the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, Bears players gathered at Hallas Hall. Offensive line coach Chris Morgan put on a video of the slap kabaddi. The players were a little confused at first as to why Morgan would show them something so out of the box. Apparently, it was to motivate the players and put their second win of the season on the board.

D’Onta Foreman concocted a surprising plan. He wanted to replicate the slap-fisting if he scored a touchdown. The 27-year-old scored three touchdowns, but it was on his first successful endzone dash when the celebration took place.
It turned out pretty well. We kind of coordinated it through the week of practice.Foreman said of his celebration, as per Audacy.
When asked about who won the bout between him and Blasingame, Foreman had only one answer.
I definitely won; threw him down and everything, and I slapped him when he got back up. It was really funny.
It was a much-needed victory for the Bears, who have been struggling all season. The game marked the first start for former Division 2 quarterback Tyson Bagent. He capped the day with 21 completions from 29 attempts for 162 yards and one touchdown, along with 3 carries for 24 rushing yards.
D’Onta Foreman was one of the standout performers for Chicago. The former Longhorn had 16 carries for 89 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Next, they will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers.
