The Kansas City Chiefs lost their week 8 game against the Denver Broncos in humiliating fashion. As a result of that defeat, they slipped to 6-2. They needed to bounce back against the Miami Dolphins in their week 9 matchup. Bounce back they did as the defending Super Bowl champions fired on all cylinders early in the game. They took a 21-0 lead in the first half and put the Dolphins on the back foot straight away.
The first two touchdowns of the game were routine 11-yard and 17-yard passes respectively. However, the third touchdown of the game was a thrilling spectacle. The Dolphins got the ball late in the second quarter and were driving down the field in the hope of getting on the board. The Chiefs’ defense though, came up big with a beautiful play that will be on the highlight reels for a long time.
The Dolphins had the ball on the Chiefs 30-yard line. It was 2nd and 6 and the Fins were in the position to at least get a field goal out of the drive. But the Chiefs’ defense had other plans. QB Tua Tagovailoa hit a quick lateral pass to WR Tyreek Hill. However, Hill got tackled as soon as he caught it and fumbled the football. Safety Mike Edwards picked up the ball but was wrapped around by Hill. Instead of going down with the ball, Edwards threw it to fellow safety Bryan Cook on a lateral pass. Cook had a free lane and took it to the endzone for a late first-half score for the Chiefs.
The Dolphins are struggling to put up points. This is the first time this season that the Fins failed to score a touchdown in the first half. However, they will hope to make a comeback in the second half as they have the players to do so.
Kansas City Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins on a last-minute fumble by Tua Tagovailoa
The week 9 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins was a fun game. After a slow first half, the Dolphins got into the game as they scored 14 unanswered points and cut the Chiefs’ lead to one score. They had the chance to tie the game, but Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa fumbled the football on a crucial 4th and 10, which gave the Chiefs the win.

The Chiefs came out of the blocks swinging as they put up 21 points in the first half and held the Fins to zero points. The Dolphins though, made a comeback in the second half and had a shot at tying the game. Tagovailoa failed to handle the snap and the Fins slipped to 6-3 heading into the bye week.
The Chiefs on the other hand will head into their bye week with an improved record of 7-2. They will play their next game against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 21. The Dolphins on the other hand will face off against the Las Vegas Raiders on November 19.
