After the blowout loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nick Sirianni and his team Philadelphia Eagles are subjected to loads of criticism. The latest to be added to the tally is Nick Wright‘s jibe at Twitter.
As the Eagles had a departure from the postseason, the analyst who is also a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs posted a GIF on Twitter subjected toward Sirianni. The GIF depicted the face of the head coach with a sarcastic reaction.
Sirianni did this after the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a rematch of the previous season’s SB competitors and the Eagles beat the Chiefs in the slightest of the margins. After a bone-chilling game, the HC straight went to the camera and made the gesture to mock the Chiefs and the fans. Now, after the Eagles lost the game, the Chiefs fanatic Nick Wright had a perfect revenge moment and he utilized that.
The Eagles’ season came to an end with disappointment. The previous season’s SB runners-up kicked off this year’s campaign pretty well. They won five straight matches and after nine games they were at an 8-1 record. But their rhythm suffered a halt after the bye week as the team only managed to secure three wins in their last eight matches. The struggle continued in the playoffs as well. The offense choked and the defense had no answer for the Bucs’ QB Baker Mayfield.
Who is to be blamed for the downfall of the Eagles?
The Eagles management would look for a possible scapegoat for the downfall and that could be anyone. – from Nick Sirianni to Jalen Hurts. The defense throughout the season performed badly and Sirianni thought demoting Sean Desai could do the work, but that did not work. The defense performed worse later in the next games.
Apart from the defense, Jalen Hurts who started the season well, failed in the latter half of the season. In the playoffs also, he was outclassed by Mayfield. The quarterback also struggled in the latter half with multiple interceptions coming into the scenario.
There are speculations that Sirianni could be sacked in the coming time. However, there is no official announcement from any end.
