Chiefs fans start a Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund following the Bengals QB’s season-ending injury

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals have always enjoyed a great rivalry on the field. In 2022, the two had three encounters between them, and the Bengals won all three games. Joe Burrow prevailed over the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in all three games. However, in January 2023, at the NFL Conference Championships, the Chiefs got the better of the Bengals.

However, that did not prevent the Kansas City fans to donate in “The Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund.” A fund that was subjected to do away with the food insecurity prevailing in Ohio State. A few fans already made their contribution to the fund and shared the posts on Twitter. They hailed Burrow in each of the posts they made on Twitter.

The donations started after news of Joe Burrow missing the rest of the season came to light. On Thursday, Burrow was subjected to an injury against the Baltimore Ravens. He left the field with frustration booming on his face and did not come back. It was not sure whether he would be available for the rest of the season. The confirmation came on Friday that Burrow would be missing the rest of the season. It was a sad moment for the Bengals fans as their favorite team was struggling with a 5-5 record. They won five games and lost another five.

With the departure of Joe Burrow, the playoff dreams of the Bengals were shattered. The game against the Baltimore Ravens was a must-win and they failed to seal it. With the defeat, the season was almost over.

A frustrating season for Joe Burrow

The NFL 2023-24 season was frustrating for Joe Burrow. He suffered from a lot of injuries throughout the season. Ahead of the start, he suffered an injury in the team’s practice that led him to miss the entire preseason. It created a lack of chemistry between him and his teammates. The team suffered because of that in the first few games.

The quarterback hurt himself again in the third game. However, he continued his run in the league. Slowly, he got back the form that he wanted and started contributing to the games. After a shambolic start, the Bengals team came back to business by winning consecutive four games in a row. Joe Burrow had brilliant performances in all of those games.
